Walliswood Village Hall and Field usage terms and conditions:

Conditions of Use

  • The Walliswood Village Hall Association requires the person signing the Booking Form as Camp Leader to take responsibility for ensuring that all adults accompanying the students have a valid Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

  • The rules of the Site must always be observed.  Failure to comply may lead to expulsion from the Site by a member of the Walliswood Village Hall Association.

  • Walliswood Village Hall Association will not accept liability for damage, loss or theft of campers or visitors’ property from the site.

  • Only one organisation will be allowed on the site at any time.

  • The contact name and phone number along with the code to the key safe will be emailed to the group leader 12 – 24 hrs before the start of the booking. The key MUST be returned to the key safe at the end of the booking.

  • The names and phone numbers of the nearest hospitals can be found in the Information File in the kitchen. The Wi-Fi code can be found in the Meeting Room on the white cabinet.

  • A Committee Member will visit on the first evening and will return to check facilities with the Camp Leader on the morning of departure.

Site Rules

  • Vehicles must NOT be driven onto the grass; all camping equipment must be unloaded from all vehicles in the designated parking area.

  • Please ask campers to only access the hall facilities through the rear door off the car park. Opposite the Storage Container (Disabled access)

  • Taps from which drinking water can be obtained are clearly indicated by specific signs. Including one external tap at the bottom of the ramp.

  • Pits must not be dug under any circumstances.

  • All rubbish is to be placed in the correct bins provided on site. That includes food waste.

  • No open fires are to be lit. Only trangias can be used for cooking and heating water.

  • Staff washing up can be done in the hall kitchen, provided the kitchen is left clean and tidy.

  • The cleanliness of the toilets is the responsibility of all campers, please note that only a single spare toilet roll will be available in addition to that on the toilet roll holder.

  • To protect the function of the septic tank, chemical toilets are not allowed.

  • To respect the local residents the site must be quiet by 10.30pm and there is to be no noise in the morning before 7.00am

  • Music can only be played through headphones.

  • No alcohol is to be consumed on site.

  • The whole site must be vacated by 10.00am having cleaned all hall facilities and undertaken a litter sweep of the field. (Cleaning equipment is provided in cupboard between ladies and gents toilet).  Cleaning solutions are in the cupboard under the kitchen sink.

  • Wet clothing can only be dried in the boiler room on the line provided as required.

  • The Condition/Damage Deposit of £100 will be refunded by bank transfer within 7 days of the end of the booking provided that no damage has occurred during the hire of the Village Hall and associated field.

  • No dogs are permitted on site with the exeption of assistance dogs.

  • The hall must be fully secured whenever the site is left unattended.
