About the Hall

Village Hall Facilities

Walliswood Village Hall is situated opposite the ‘Scarlett Arms’ and is set back off the road at the junction of Horsham Road and Froggetts Lane and is available for use, primarily by the local community. The following description gives an indication of what facilities the hall has to offer:

 
  • The hall has two entrances, one with a ramp for disabled access. There is also a set of bi-fold doors that open out onto a large field.

  • It has car parking for approximately 10 cars inside the Froggetts Lane entrance and more parking is available adjoining the field in the village car park opposite the Scarlett Arms on the Horsham Road entrance.

  • There is a large secure playing field that surrounds the building.

  • The Village Hall is double glazed and is centrally heated throughout.

LOCAL FACILITIES FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY

 

Main Hall

The Hall measures 7.6m x 7.3m x 3m (26’ x 24’ x 9' 9") (w x l x h). 12 tables 152cm x 76cm x 70cm (l x w x h) are kept just outside the kitchen. A further 6 tables as detailed above are stored in the container. 40 stacking chairs are kept in the Boiler Room and a chair trolley is provided to move them around. An additional 40 chairs are stored in the cladded container. Bi-fold doors open onto the field.

Washrooms

Toilets for ladies, gents and disabled people as well as baby changing facilities can be accessed from the rear corridor.

Meeting Room

4.2 x 2.35 (13’9” x 9’3”). Table to accommodate 12 people with 12 upholstered chairs and with a hatch opening to:

Kitchen

Electric Oven, Gas Hob, Fridge/Freezer, Microwave, 2 x ‘Burco’ Water Heaters, Stainless Steel Double Sink and Drainer, fitted wall and floor cupboards contain a comprehensive set of 80 of each white china dinner plates, side plates, bowls and cups and saucers plus glasses and cutlery. Tea towels are provided and a sink for handwashing is available.

PLUS

The lighting and heating have been upgraded and now include the ability to control these utilities remotely. Emergency lighting and smoke alarms are installed. A double external electricity socket has also been fitted as well as an external water tap. Both are isolated from within the hall.
